The black ax teaser

This is another pole ax, or rather the bits FOR a pole ax. On the horn of the anvil, you see the ax head. In the anvil's "table" you can see the spear point and the keys. The haft is also black- like the Corseca also in my album. The only thing not pictured is the but spike, as I'm still doing the finishing on it. The ax is different- aside from the blueing and the cross cut out, it is much, much thinner behind the cutting edge. The edge is about 3/16" (5-6mm) thick, but it is only about 3/32 (1.5-2mm) thick right about where the cross is. This is not an armor-killer, that's what the spike is for- but rather for unarmored foes. The spear point is also fairly stout, so will work well for either foe, really.
