just another quick question, from what I gather from your pictures the langets and axe and corvus are welded together into their complete pieces, is that mig welded or forge welded?

Umm... yes.  Both, actually.  Tacked to get it ready, and then I will fill in with more welding rod if necessary for a better profile.  But I have only a fluxcore and gas welders~  and the forge.
